
FIFTY CROWS FOUNDATION BOARD:
Andy Patrick
Chairman, Founder and Executive Director
Mr. Patrick, an artist, social entrepreneur and angel investor, started
FiftyCrows in September 2001. For the past ten years he has been actively
involved in the development of social cause organizations striving to make a
positive impact on the human condition. He is a founding Board Member of
Healing the Divide, a non-profit which brings cultural, social, and economic
benefits to traditional communities in Tibet, Mongolia, Russia, India,
Nepal, and Bhutan. He was the Founder and Executive Director of the Mad
Housers of Chicago which built small living units for homeless individuals,
and was a founding Board member of the highly successful magazine
StreetWise, which has sold over $10 million in copies by homeless
individuals, 75% which goes directly to the seller. Previously, he was the
EVP & COO of Adjacency Brand New Media, a leading strategic web consultancy
for award-winning e-business deployments for companies such as Apple
Computer, Patagonia, Virgin Megastores, Esprit and Nordstrom. In 2000, he
was named one of the top fifty people in design by Metropolis Magazine.
Lillian Sizemore
FiftyCrows Foundation, Secretary/Treasurer, CA
Lillian currently applies her skills for FiftyCrows as it's Program Director for the International Fund for Documentary Photography program. She has curated and produced several of the FiftyCrows gallery exhibitions, including Dan Budnik’s Recalling the Vote, which included large educational panels designed by Ms. Sizemore. She has been active in the field of arts, publishing, and arts activism for over 20 years. She has served on the boards of the Graphic Artists Guild (NY), Artspan (CA), and as Art Director for The Guild, a national publication, where she managed art photography for over 300 craftspeople. She has worked as a professional graphic designer and producer, creating campaigns for Reuters, Swiss Bank, and California Closets, among others. For the past ten years Ms. Sizemore has worked as a professional mosaic artist, and is photographing significant mosaic sites around the world.

Laura Shore

Ms. Shore has been responsible for corporate identity, business-to-business marketing communications that focus on the creative community, product strategy and design, and media relations for Mohawk Paper Mills. She balances her corporate writing and strategic consulting with research projects focusing on race and gender in the nineteenth century. She has been asked by AIGA to serve with others on crafting a Design Vision for Rejuvenating New York in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Cory Smith

Mr. Smith is the co-founder of Media Gems, a digital media company that aggregates, packages and syndicates enriching media. He has co-founded four other digital media companies since 1989. He was the co-founder and CEO of Webcast Solutions, an international webcast company that helped global companies use audio, video, photos and web-based tools to communicate with audiences via the Internet. StarMedia Networks acquired Webcast Solutions and Cory headed up the broadband division of StarMedia in the US and Latin America. Prior to Webcast, he co-produced Planetary Dialogues, a website created in conjunction with UNESCO that featured World Heritage sites and cultures worldwide. Cory’s other companies have included MediaCast, which produced some of the first ever webcasts featuring world-renowned musicians, CEO’s and global leaders; DAT On Site, a company that digitally recorded over 350 live music concerts and Media Synergy, which helped produce fifty nationally televised programs about music and culture along with several multimedia projects. Currently, Cory also works in strategic development with liveBooks and in his free time enjoys mountain biking, surfing and nature photography.
Nancy Pearson

Ms. Pearson is currently the Executive Director of Caracol de Plata, a newly formed non-profit organization in Mexico City, whose mission is to promote citizen participation and the work of the non-profit sector by promoting increased creation, production, sponsorship and dissemination of Public Service Announcements in Latin America.
Daile Kaplan

Ms. Kaplan is a widely acclaimed expert in photography and the use of photography as a language. Her studies of activist-photographers Lewis Hine and others have given her a deep understanding of how to use photography as a tool for social justice. She is also known for her weekly appearances as the resident photography expert on PBS’ widely acclaimed Antiques Roadshow.
Lynn D. W. Luckow
Following a distinguished career as head of Jossey-Bass Publishers, Lynn Luckow recently completed a two year assignment as president and CEO of Northern California Grantmakers, of one of the nation’s most influential and diverse associations of philanthropic organizations and individuals. Honored in 2000 as the nation’s top nonprofit board chairman by the National Assembly of Health and Human Service Organizations, Mr. Luckow was recognized with its Excellence in National Board Leadership Award. He served three years as national board chair of the GRAMMY Award-winning choral ensemble Chanticleer, and five years as board chair of National 4-H Council. In addition, he is a past board member of the Golden Gate Choral Foundation, which he created in 1986 and served as founding board president until 1991. Mr. Luckow is retired from the board of the National AIDS Fund, and the board of Project Open Hand. He was a trustee of Dean College, chaired the national board of advisors for Indiana University’s Libraries, and has served on the boards of visitors for Indiana University’s School of Education and School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Mr. Luckow has served on or consulted to over 30 nonprofit boards.

RHONDA RUBINSTEIN is the creative director of EXBROOK, where she fuses words and images to engage audiences in cultural and social issues. Currently, she is the creative director for the San Francisco issue of BIG and a consulting design director for The Ocean Conservancy's Blue Planet Quarterly. Rhonda spent many years in New York City working with renown photographers in her role as art director of Esquire, Details, and Smart, among others. As a writer, her commentaries on design, photography and culture have appeared in Eye, Print, Sphere, and ID.
